of:分離、除去、剥奪を表す。除去・剥奪するものとされるものの位置関係に注意。
rid the house of cockroaches(家からゴキブリを除去する),clear the pavement of dirt(道から汚れを取り除く),deprive him of his right(彼から権利を奪う),rob her of her purse(彼女から財布を奪う),relieve him of fear(彼から恐れを除く),etc.
